Srinagar to Razdan Pass, Kashmir Road trip 2025
So, this is the story of my Kashmir trip, which I went on with my family. It was a long road journey — we drove all the way from Delhi to Kashmir by car. While we were excited about seeing the usual tourist spots, I also wanted to explore a few places that are less-crowded and a bit offbeat. That’s how we decided to visit Razdan Pass, and then continue onwards to the beautiful Gurez Valley, Kashmir. Razdan Pass is around 100 kilometres from Srinagar, and Gurez Valley is about 125 kilometres further.
On one side, I was enjoying the classic beauty of Kashmir’s valleys, and on the other hand, we discovered this hidden gem that had even more stunning views. The weather here changes in just minutes, which made the whole experience feel even more adventurous and exciting.

On reaching Razdan Pass, I found a good spot for a photo shoot. There was snow all around, clouds and a view which made me feel like I should keep looking at it.
We didn’t stay too long — just 10 to 12 minutes at the top — but honestly, that was enough. I had never heard of Razdan Pass before, but when I reached there, it felt like stepping into a snow paradise. There was snow all around — some freshly fallen, some old — and the surrounding mountains were completely covered in white. It looked absolutely magical. The road up to the pass was mostly in good condition, though it got a bit rough near the top due to snow buildup.
