Traffic Police Headquarters, J&K has issued an advisory for 01-11-2025:

🔸 Slow movement observed between Nashri–Dalwas, Balianalla, Dewal, Marog and Kishtwari Pather due to single-lane traffic, vehicle breakdowns, and nomadic flocks on the route.
🔸 Travelers are advised to prefer daytime travel on the Jammu–Srinagar NHW and avoid night journeys due to HMV movement and migration of nomads.
🔸 No up-movement of goods carriers (HMVs/MMVs) from Jammu towards Srinagar on 2nd November 2025 (Sunday) because of the movement of secretariat employees.
🔸 Fresh perishables and livestock carriers should move as per advisory and plan ahead to avoid congestion.
🔸 LMVs/Passenger vehicles are allowed from both sides on NH-44, depending on weather and road conditions.
🔸 HMVs shall be allowed from Srinagar towards Jammu only after the secretariat convoy crosses Chanderkote.

Other routes:

Kishtwar–Sinthan–Anantnag NH-244: LMVs allowed after green signal between 0800–1500 hrs.

SSG Road: LMVs from Minamarg→Srinagar (0500–1000 hrs), HMVs/LMVs from Sonamarg→Kargil (1130–1730 hrs).

Mughal Road: LMVs allowed both ways between 0600–1730 hrs, HMVs (six tyres only) from Shopian→Poonch.

🔹 NH-44 (Jammu–Srinagar Highway)
Slow movement reported due to breakdown of vehicles and movement of nomadic flocks between Bali nallah, Dewal, Nashri-Dalwas, Marog, and Kishtwari Pather.
Travellers are advised to avoid night travel and prefer daytime journeys due to ongoing HMV movement and nomad migration.

No up-movement of goods carriers (HMVs/MMVs) will be allowed from Jammu towards Srinagar on 1st and 2nd November 2025 due to office movement from Srinagar to Jammu.

🔹 Passenger Vehicles (LMVs/Private Cars)
Allowed from both sides between Jammu and Srinagar, subject to weather and road conditions. Coordination between TCU Jammu, Ramban, and Srinagar is advised.

🔹 HMVs/Load Carriers
Allowed from Srinagar towards Jammu after assessment by traffic units from NAVYUG Tunnel (Qazigund side).
From Jammu towards Srinagar, HMVs allowed after 6 PM from Jakhani (Udhampur) post down convoy clearance from Ramban.

🔹 Kishtwar–Sinthan–Anantnag NH-244
Only LMVs allowed both ways from 0800–1500 hrs, depending on NHIDCL clearance and weather conditions.

🔹 SSG Road (Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri)
LMVs followed by HMVs allowed from Minimarg towards Srinagar (0500–1000 hrs) and from Sonamarg towards Kargil (1130–1730 hrs), depending on BRO clearance.

🔹 Mughal Road
LMVs allowed both sides from Behramgala (Bafliaz) between 0600–1800 hrs. HMVs (six tyres only) allowed from Poonch towards Shopian after 1200 hrs, weather permitting.

In view of the move of offices from Srinagar to Jammu for the winter season 2025–26, the Traffic Police Headquarters J&K has issued an advisory stating that there will be no up-movement of Goods Carriers (HMVs/MMVs) from Jammu towards Srinagar on 1st and 2nd November 2025 (Saturday & Sunday).

👉 LMVs will be allowed from both ends — Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa.
👉 Down-movement of HMVs/MMVs from Srinagar towards Jammu will be regulated, keeping in view the movement of secretariat staff and official records.
👉 Goods carriers carrying perishable or live stock are advised to plan their journeys as per the advisory.

In view of the Move of Offices from Srinagar to Jammu for the winter season, only downward traffic (Srinagar → Jammu) will be allowed on NH-44 on 1st and 2nd November 2025.

➡️ No upward traffic (Jammu → Srinagar) of HMVs/MMVs, including Army, Paramilitary, and other government convoys, will be permitted on these dates.
➡️ LMVs will be allowed from both directions.
➡️ Traffic Police, along with Civil Administration and NHAI, will regulate the movement to ensure smooth and safe passage of official convoys.

Public and private vehicle operators are advised to plan their travel accordingly and avoid unnecessary movement on these dates.
