NH-44 (Jammu–Srinagar Highway)
Slow movement reported between Ballianla, Dhalwas, Nashri–Dalwas, Marog and Kishtwari Pathar due to single-lane traffic and breakdown of two HMVs.
LMVs/Passengers are advised to prefer daytime travel only. Night movement of HMVs between Nashri Tunnel – Navyug Tunnel may cause inconvenience.
Commuters must strictly follow lane discipline; no overtaking or wrong-lane driving.
LMVs / Private Vehicles
Subject to weather and road clearance, LMVs shall be allowed to travel both ways on NH-44 between Jammu ↔ Srinagar.
Final permission will be given by TCU Jammu / TCU Srinagar.
Security Forces Convoy
SFs will move both ways on NH-44 after clearance from TCU Ramban.
Kishtwar – Sinthan – Anantnag (NH-244)
LMVs allowed both sides between Anantnag ↔ Kishtwar/Sinthan-Anantnag after green signal from NHDCL.
Regulated movement window: 1000 hrs – 1500 hrs (PP Parana ↔ PP Daksum).
SSG Road (Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri)
LMVs will be allowed both ways on Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri after road clearance.
HMVs allowed as follows:
Srinagar → Kargil: 0500 hrs – 1000 hrs
Kargil → Srinagar: 1130 hrs – 1730 hrs
SF convoy movement will be scheduled to avoid disruption to civilian traffic.
Mughal Road (Buffliaz–Herpora)
After clearance from GREF, LMVs will be allowed both ways between Buffliaz ↔ Herpora.
HMVs allowed from Behramgala (Buffliaz) between 0600 hrs – 1730 hrs.
LMVs also allowed from Poonch ↔ Shopian, regulated by TCU Mughal Road and TCU Srinagar.

The Grampoo to Losar road (NH-505) has been officially closed from 25 November 2025 onwards due to extreme cold, black ice, and dangerous winter conditions near Kunzum Pass.
🔴 NO VEHICLE MOVEMENT ALLOWED till further orders.
Why the closure?
• Severe black icing making the route extremely slippery
• Heavy snowfall + sub-zero temperatures at Kunzum Pass
• High risk of vehicles getting stranded
• BRO recommendation for public safety
• Rescue operations becoming very risky
⚠️ Important: Violation of this order can lead to legal action under Disaster Management Act 2005, including fines or imprisonment up to 1 year.
