• Avoid night travel because of heavy HMV movement between Nashri Tunnel & Navyug Tunnel and seasonal migration activity.

Slow traffic was reported on 17–18 Nov due to single-lane movement at Balinalla, Dewal, Nashri–Dalwas, Marog and Kishtwari Pather, plus breakdown of 3 HMVs.
➡️ LMVs/Passengers are advised to travel during daytime only.
➡️ Avoid night travel due to HMV movement between Nashri Tunnel & Navyug Tunnel and nomad migration.
Lane discipline is mandatory — overtaking & wrong-lane driving will create heavy congestion.

As per Traffic Police Headquarters, J&K, movement on NH-44 (Jammu–Srinagar National Highway) remains slow between Balinalla, Dewal, Nashri–Dalwas, and Marog–Kishtwari Pather due to single-lane stretches and the movement of four nomadic flocks in the area.
🔸 Advisory:
Passengers and LMV operators are advised to prefer daytime travel and avoid night hours, as the movement of HMVs and nomadic migration between Nashri Tunnel and Navyug Tunnel may cause inconvenience.
Overtaking and wrong-lane driving may lead to congestion — commuters must follow lane discipline.

As per the Traffic Police Headquarters, J&K, Jammu/Srinagar, movement on NH-44 (Jammu–Srinagar Highway) remains slow due to single-lane traffic at Balinala, Dewal, Nashri–Dalwas, and between Marog–Kishtwari Pather. The situation is further affected by the breakdown of two HMVs and the movement of nomadic flocks in the same stretch.
🔹 Advisory:
Passengers and LMV operators are advised to prefer day travel on NH-44.
Avoid night journeys due to HMV movement and migration of nomads which may cause delays.
Maintain lane discipline — overtaking and wrong-lane driving will lead to congestion.

LMVs/Private Cars/HMVs (Goods carriers) allowed from both sides between Jammu and Srinagar, subject to fair weather and road conditions.
