Delhi to Triund Trek(2025)
I did my first Triund trek with two friends. We took a Volvo bus from Delhi to Dharamshala, Himachal then a mini bus to Mcleodganj, which was around 10 kms away. After freshening up, we set out in new clothes, thinking we were ready for a simple tourist visit. The trek starts from the Mcleodganj market, and although there’s an option for a shared auto ride for the first 4 km, we decided to walk, fueled by a heavy parantha breakfast.
We thought it was just a scenic walk, but within 2 kilometers we were exhausted, laughing at each other’s struggle, but loving every step. Since then, I’ve done this trek twice, and each time it gave me a story to tell. If you’re planning your first Triund adventure, here’s everything you need to know in 2025.

A few kilometres in, the mountains open up and you see breathtaking views that make every step worth it.
